System components

The Questra IDM Application Suite consists of three major components: Questra Service Agents, the fault-tolerant Questra Enterprise Server, and Questra Connectors.

Questra Service Agent

The Questra Service Agent consists of software installed on individual devices or on a computer that monitors multiple devices. It is responsible for intelligent device monitoring and for secure, bi-directional communications over the Internet to the Enterprise Server. It can monitor devices constantly and locally at frequent intervals and can be set up to send only eventful data as needed.

Questra Enterprise Server

The Enterprise Server is the centralized Internet-accessible application installed in a data center. The Enterprise Server is responsible for communicating with Questra Service Agents for data exchange and data monitoring. It also provides users with an application to review real-time and historical device information as well as interact with one or more devices.

Questra Connectors

Questra Connectors (separately licensed) provide bi-directional interface between the Questra Control Center and other applications in an organization's enterprise. The connectors transform information and events that originate within Questra's enterprise system to a format and structure that each third-party package or legacy application can understand and process. Similarly, the connectors allow information and events that originate within an organization's enterprise systems to be propagated to Questra Control Center.
