New Site Visit dialog

Use the New Site Visit dialog to create a new site visit to be delivered by a field service technician to a device or group of devices. (See Managing site visits.)

Fields

New Site Visit for device / group <device / group>

Identifies the device or group to which the new site visit will apply.

Assigned To

A drop-down list of users with Site Visit User permission. (Typically these are field service technicians). To assign the site visit to a field service technician, select his or her name from the list.

Delivery By

Type the date (or select it from the popup calendar) on which you expect the field service technician to deliver the site visit to its intended device or group of devices.

Name

Type a name (up to 255 characters) for the site visit. Site visit names do not need to be unique.


Best Practice for
site visit names

Use a name that is fully descriptive of the site visit in order for field service technicians to easily understand its purpose when viewing it on a list of site visits presented by the Questra SoftwareCourier application. For example, if the field service technician will be on-site at a hospital to service different types of devices, consider a description such as "SG machines, City Hospital, Imaging Dept., 1st floor". Also consider including the purpose of the site visit, such as "Install patch 1.01".
