About Questra TotalAccess configuration

Questra TotalAccess configuration defines the network configuration and client program information for remote desktop and other client-server applications. The network and client program information is collectively called the connection type. The Questra IDM Application Suite comes preconfigured with remote desktop.

The Questra TotalAccess connection types that you configure are needed for the configuration of device types and devices to support the end-users’ use of Questra TotalAccess.

The configuration of Questra TotalAccess involves several major tasks:

  1. Define TotalAccess connection types. See Configuring TotalAccess connection types.

  2. Edit devices types to support Questra TotalAccess. Specifically, you will add properties to device types needed to support the TotalAccess connections. See Adding Questra TotalAccess properties to a device type.

  3. Associate the TotalAccess connections with the device types and possibly with individual devices. See Associating Questra TotalAccess connections with a device type or device.

  4. (Performed by a Service Agent System Integrator.) Update the configuration of the Service Agent for any device that will support Questra TotalAccess. (Instructions are provided in the Questra Service Agent™ System Integrator Guide.)
