Every user has a profile, which is a description that includes his or her name, email address, password, telephone number, etc. As needed, you can change your own profile to keep it up to date. And it's always a good practice to change your password periodically. You might also like to change the default group to which Group view is set automatically when you log in. Finally, you can also add custom information that the Questra IDM Application Suite doesn't ask for, such as an alternative email address. This custom information is known as "extended properties."
To edit your profile
On the Action pane's Configuration
panel under Personal Configuration, click Edit
your profile.
The User Profile dialog opens at its Profile tab.
As needed, edit the fields on the Profile tab. (For field help, see User Profile dialog). You will need to scroll to bring all fields into view.
To change your password, click New password to open the New Password dialog. Complete the fields and click OK to save and return to the User Profile dialog.
NOTE:
The format of passwords is governed by a password policy. The default
policy dictates that a password must be from 5 to 31 characters long and
can contain the lowercase letters a
To change your default group (that is, the group to
which the context of Group view is set automatically when you log in),
click Edit to the right of the Default group field to open the Assigned
Groups dialog. Navigate to and select a group. (Be sure to select
a group that you own.) Select the group’s name, not its folder, and click
Add to save and return to the User Profile dialog.
NOTE:
If you ever want to reset your default group to the original one (the
one defined by a system administrator), click Delete to the right of the Default group field.
(This does not delete the group, but rather simply resets your default
group.).
To edit your extended properties, switch to the Properties
tab. Select the property you want to edit and click Edit .
The Extended Property
dialog opens. Change the value of the property as needed, and then
click Save to save and return to the User Profile dialog. (You can also
use Add to add an extended property, if desired.)
To save your changes, click Save.
