Using the panels on the Content pane

In any window view, the lower portion of the Content pane organizes data into panels, making it easy for you to get to specific information fast. For example, when you have drilled down to an individual device (the context is Device view), you will see several panels on which device information is organized. You open a panel by clicking its header.

Panel headers in the Content pane serve an additional and convenient purpose: they often convey at-a-glance information. For example, when the context is Device view, the panels' headers convey information about the number of device properties, the last action taken on the device, and the number of alerts (if any) for the device.

Some panels on the Content pane can display information in different formats. For these panels, you will find toggle buttons with which you switch between formats. For example, the Alerts panel in Group view can display its information in either map format and table format. Its toggle buttons let you switch between the two formats.
