Use the Software Packages dialog to view and configure software packages.
This list shows the existing software packages.
To add a new software package,
click Add 
to open the Software Package
dialog.
To edit a software package, select it and click Edit
to open the Software Package dialog.
You may edit any software package that you have not locked.
To delete a software package, select it and click Delete
.
For the selected software package, this tab shows its name, description and install type (automatic or manual); whether it is locked or unlocked; its file name, size, creation date, and modification date; and its prerequisite configuration and resulting configuration (if any). (For information on configurations, see the topics in the Configuration Management Database book.)
Assigned Device Types tab
For the selected software package, this tab lists the device types to which the software package pertains.
For selected software package, this tab lists the commands that will be executed to download, install, and (optionally) activate the software on a device. (For more information on package installation commands, see Installer plug-ins and package installation commands.)
For the selected software package, this tab lists any extended properties.
To create an extended property, click Add
to open the Extended Property dialog.
