Use the Search dialog to search for devices, groups, users, and configurations.
Select Device and complete the desired fields. The * wildcard is allowed. (Partial strings are not allowed.) When ready, click Search. To switch the context to one of the found devices, select it and click OK. If you are an administrator and are assigning devices to a static group, you can select multiple devices to add to the group.

Name |
The name of the device you want to find. |
Serial Number |
The serial number of the device. | |

Device type filter |
To limit the search to a specific device type, select that device type. Several of the remaining fields will be filled in automatically based on the selected device type. |
Friendly Name |
The user-friendly name of the device. | |
Device ID |
The device's internal numerical identifier (defined by the system). | |
Manufacturer |
The name of the device's manufacturer, as specified by its device type. | |
Product |
The manufacturer's product name for the device, as specified by its device type. (You must complete the Manufacturer field as well). | |
Model |
The manufacturer's model number or ID for the device, as specified by its device type. (You must complete the Manufacturer field as well). | |
Version |
The manufacturer's version number for the device, as specified by its device type. (You must complete the Manufacturer field as well). | |
Account name |
The name of a customer associated with the device. | |
Status |
The device's status, such as Registered, Active, or Unregistered. (See the Glossary for definitions of these statuses.) | |
Description |
The device's description, as specified in its profile. | |
UnAssigned Devices |
(Available only to System Administrators.) Use this check box to search for devices not currently assigned to any group. |

Logged In User |
Use this check box to search for users who are currently logged in. | |
UnAssigned Users |
(Reserved for system administrators.) Use this check box to search for all users who are not currently assigned as owners of any groups. (This is useful to administrators and is covered more fully in Configuring users.) | |
Deleted User |
(Reserved for system administrators.) Use this check box to search for all users who have been deleted (although not purged) from the system. |
